Mis intereses académicos se sitúan en la teoría política normativa, las políticas públicas y la teoría política comparada, con un enfoque en América Latina. Me desempeño como investigador del Instituto de Investigación en Justicia Social y Desigualdades (IJD) y del Departamento de Ciencia Política de la Universidad de la República. Antes de mudarme a Uruguay, fui Profesor Asociado en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y Profesor Asistente en la Universidad de Florida, donde dirigí el Public Affairs Program. Obtuve mi doctorado en el Departamento de Ciencia Política de Washington University in St. Louis. Actualmente codirijo el Ethics and Public Policy Working Group de la PPE Society y soy editor asociado para América Latina del International Journal of Social Welfare.
